In the first ever philanthropy conference of its kind in the region, the East Africa Association of Grantmakers (EAAG) brings together thinkers across the region to discuss how to expand frontiers of philanthropy in East Africa by laying emphasis on local giving.

The conference, which will open in Nairobi on Tuesday (June 29, 2010), will examine ways of boosting local giving. The meeting also brings together everyday regular philanthropists who have broken the stereotype that only the affluent can give.
